Digital temperature measuring spears (DT-20)

The digital temperature lance (DT-20) is designed to measure the temperature (in Celsius & Fahrenheit) inside the pile of bulk materials. Commonly used for temperature control of grain and grain products, raw materials, processed products, meals, cake, feed, compost, hay, haylage, etc. when the product is stored in ground warehouses, granaries, grain sleeves, bags and big bags. Regular product temperature measurement is necessary to prevent possible loss of quality and temperature control during drying or ventilation processes.

General advantages

• The digital sensor located in the tip does not require calibration.
• The tip, tube and handle are tightly sealed to prevent moisture from entering the housing.
• The membrane button for temperature measurement is located inside the housing and is protected from possible damage during operation.
• A bright red digital indicator makes it easy to read temperature readings both in a dark room (for example, in a warehouse) and in the daytime.
• The battery reserve is designed to last at least 2 years (with constant use) or 5 years with occasional use. Batteries are easy to replace if needed.
• The handle provides a strong grip, without slipping, when screwing the device into the product.
• Each DT temperature probe is packed in a carton box (tube) for safe transportation and storage.

The device itself consists of two parts:

1. Tube made of different materials (2 or 3 m length), with a digital temperature sensor in the aluminium tip and a specially fixed wire which comes from the sensor to an electronic unit in the handle. On one end of the tube is located a sharp tip. On the other – Handle.
2. Handle with the electronic unit and LED display.

   

   The materials options for the DT-20 tube

   1. Anodized aluminium Ø16mm (-A16) – options 2/3m length
      Anodized aluminium alloy is a lightweight and the most popular material for DT-20.
   2. Fiberglass Ø12mm (-G12) or Ø16mm (-G16) – options 2/3m length
      Fibreglass is a more lightweight, flexible and sturdy material.
   3. Stainless steel Ø16mm (-S16) – 2m length only
      For heavy-duty, long-life, and measuring temperature in difficult conditions. Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, and heavyweight but the most reliable material. Only available in a 2m length version.

Handle and display DT-20

For all types of tube materials and lengths, the Handle with the electronic unit and display is the same for all DT-20 thermometers.

The handle is made of anodized aluminium, with an embossed pattern for a better grip and a nice look. Inside the handle, there is an electronic unit (PCB) and a battery compartment with batteries (x4 AA). The battery reserve is designed to last at least 2 years (with constant use) or 5 years with occasional use. The handle can be opened (it’s fixed with 2 screws) and batteries are easy to replace if needed.

On the face side of the handle is located a bright LED three-digit red digital indicator of the measured temperature. A bright red digital indicator makes it easy to do temperature readings both in a dark room (for example, in a warehouse) and in the daytime.

The membrane button on the face side “°С/°F” is used to start temperature measurement. It is located inside the housing and is protected from possible damage during operation. By holding the button “°С/°F” the user can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature display modes.

The individual packing for every Thermometer DT-20 is included in the default price. A carton tube Diameter of 70mm, closed with 2 plastic caps.

EU TYPE EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE, Declaration of conformity

Printed and signed scan copies of the certificate and declaration of conformity are provided to the customer at the stage of delivery.

WARRANTY AND REPLACEMENT

We provide a 1-year warranty for DT-20 Temperature measuring spears. Warranty is only available for electronics failure. Due to the big length, it’s very expensive to ship devices one by one. In case of warranty replacement is needed, we offer a free-of-charge extra unit for your next order.
